As the snow churns... latest forecasts suggest the morning commute (1/26/2011) may be OK. If so, our New Rochelle store will open right on time. As weather deteriorates, we may have an early closing. A new week, a new storm. Seems we are talking once again about the weather. An ice storm is predicted for the area overnight with a faster change over to rain by the coast than inland north and west of New York City. Patrons who wish to visit our New Rochelle store should call ahead. Weather may result in a delayed opening tomorrow, 18 January 2011.

We continue to be busy behind the scenes in New Rochelle. Not only do we continue to add content to our online catalog (e.g., chairs), we have created a dedicated Facebook page to go along with our Twitter page. Because most of our work is custom, we felt we needed a Portfolio page to highlight our capabilities. Most of the work we do is not "in stock" for selling on our website. Our Portfolio page is located on Facebook and is meant to show-off our capabilities. Call us with any questions or if you are interested in a piece made to your specifications.

PlasticWorksUSA.com 2.0 is live as of 01 January 2010.  Over the course of the last year, we worked behind the scenes to completely remake our web-site.  Our new site is e-commerce ready (meaning you can buy directly from our web-site), and it is much better designed to be a communication tool with our customers.  You can subscribe to newsletters and check current store hours and holiday schedules.  We still have more work to do as only a small fraction of what we sell in our store is present on our web site, but we will keep adding to the online catalog.  Visit often! 

In 2010, Plastic Works developed new capabilities and new products. We are working hard to diversify and respond to customer feedback regarding our product offerings and capaiblities.  Look to the New Product Announcments section of our News site for continuing announcments.  These announcements will detail activity on our website and in our factory and store.

New and on our Web Site

Our new "Jones Table" has been very popular and sells in the stock size shown on our site and we can customize it to your size specifications.  It has been so popular that we are currently sold out of even our stock sized table.  Please allow 3 weeks for fabrication and this item requries special freight consideration.

Another popular new item being offered on our web site are keepsake boxes.  These are great for weddings, birthdays or any occassion where you might want to place an invitiation within acrylic and use as a top for a box holding momentos from the occasion.  These are custom made so please allow at least 3 weeks after we receive what you want us to place in the box top.

New in our Store

Also new in 2010 are our acrylic curtain rings for our 2" curtain rods.  We have not added pictures and details of this item to our web site, but be paitient.  We have thousands of products and it takes time to add everything we would like to the site.

A new capability in 2010, is our customization with colored, cut vinyl.  Our debut product featuring this capability was a premium quick change menu holder for a cafeteria management firm.  We used custom cut vinyl to add their chosen logo and text to the menu holder.  Stop by our store to see an example. Pricing is dependent on quantity.

The economy was tough on our vendors and many discontinued operations or limited their offerings.  As a result, we had to change to a new source for our folding chairs, resulting in our offering a new style folding chair.  We think it is a great replacement for a popular product.

Other new retail items include a clear acrylic folding table, beverage pitcher that holds ice in a center tube so your drinks do not get diluted by melting ice,

The end of 2010 saw our introduction of the Lisbon Chair, an impressive work of solid acrylic. with 3" tapered legs and a 1" clear acrylic seat and back.  This is another item we hope to add to our website, and one that will also require special shipping considerations.  Currently, it is on display in our store.  Stop by and see!

Or last new product introduction in 2010 was the Plastic Works acrylic Christmas tree.  Stop by and see it on display and decorated this holiday season at our 26 Garden Street location.
