A major road construction project will commence this week on North Avenue near our New Rochelle store location. The first phase is expected to take 18 months and will likely cause traffic disruptions to anyone visiting our store. This is especially true if you rely on the Hutchinson River Parkway or North Avenue to travel to New Rochelle. The City of New Rochelle is posting information on the construction on their website. The current link is here. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience and patronage during this construction.
We have just updated our Holiday Schedule to reflect the dates in 2012. Don't forget it's a leap year! That means a whole extra day to shop for your acrylic furniture, accessories, and cut-to-size sheets at your favorite store.
Our Holiday Schedule is located at this link: http://www.plasticworksusa.com/pages.php?pageid=7
Don't forget! Unscheduled closings and late openings due to adverse weather or emergencies will be posted on our website, Facebook page, and Twitter
Plastic Works isn't just about the beautiful furniture that many of our customers consider works of art. We also offer very practical solutions to today’s consumer problems. For example, we are reintroducing our Indoor Storm Window Systems after a nearly two year hiatus. This is a great way to save money on your energy bill and is a great solution to both residential and commercial real-estate heating challenges. We have added select components of this system to our on-line store, and our entire system, including cut to size acrylic windows, is available from our New Rochelle store. Perfect for contractors or do-it-yourselfers! Now that the cold weather is here, stop in and take a look. Our on-line components for the Plastic Works Indoor Storm Window Systems are under the "For the Home" section.
We send out our best wishes to all of our friends for Thanksgiving. Our hours during Thanksgiving week will be slightly altered from our posted regular hours. Please see below:

We just added a "Book End" category to our online catalog. A short description of what you will find follows...
We have a variety of book end designs that we make right here in our factory in New Rochelle. These range from high-end 3" clear pieces to modestly priced designs made from thinner sheets. All are hand fabricated from cell cast acrylic. If you have your own design, contact us.
Please note that all book ends are made to order. Our backlog is generally 3 weeks and can be longer. As a reminder and per our generalized terms of & conditions, custom orders are NOT returnable.
Today, we introduce the Clear Acrylic Desk Chair on Casters. The clean lines and modern styling of the chair make this an excellent addition to your home or office. The entire product description can be found at the link above.
We have received numerous requests from our customers for a greater selection in chairs, stools, and benches and a lot of these requests are for chairs with casters. The Clear Acrylic Desk Chair on Casters is our latest retail item and we are happy to now offer it among our retail acrylic solutions for the home or office. Stop by the store or web site today and take a look. We would love to know what your think. If you really like it, there is no better way of letting us know than buying one!
None of the staff were able to make it in today; therefore, our New Rochelle store is closed today. We will reopen 8:00a tomorrow, assuming weather and traffic cooperate. Stay safe!
We were able to open our New Rochelle store right on time at 8:00a. It is starting to snow fairly heavy, but the forecast is for a break mid-morning with the height of the storm hitting this evening and tonight. Look for a possible early closing today and/or a delayed opening tomorrow. We will post any status change here as soon as we can. Safe travels!
As the snow churns... latest forecasts suggest the morning commute (1/26/2011) may be OK. If so, our New Rochelle store will open right on time. As weather deteriorates, we may have an early closing. Thursday (1/27/2011) looks hit and miss. We will try to post updates as we can. Stay tuned! Drive safe!! Keep warm!!!!
Another day - another storm. The New Rochelle store will have a delayed opening. We hope to open around 9:00a. Please call ahead if you plan to visit our New Rochelle location.
You can find Plastic Works on Patch.com. Its a great way to follow us and your other favorite New Rochelle businesses.
It was a busy morning and a tough ride in but we got the store open at 9:30a this morning. If you need to stop by, drive safely! You can also call or email using our contact us link
It is the day after the season's second storm and our store in New Rochelle is open. We opened at 8:30a this morning. We still have a bit more shoveling and some salting to do, but so does everyone in the area. We apologize for any inconvenience. Mother Nature has not been particularly nice so far this winter.
We continue to be busy behind the scenes in New Rochelle. Not only do we continue to add content to our online catalog (e.g., chairs), we have created a dedicated Facebook page to go along with our Twitter page. Because most of our work is custom, we felt we needed a Portfolio page to highlight our capabilities. Most of the work we do is not "in stock" for selling on our website. Our Portfolio page is located on Facebook and is meant to show-off our capabilities. Call us with any questions or if you are interested in a piece made to your specifications.
